Carrot Soup

Serves: 5 cups

400 g carrots
1 onion
1 table spoon moong dal
1 tea cup skim milk
Salt and pepper to paste


  • Cut the carrots and onion into big pieces.
  • Add 3 tea cups of water and moong dal to it and cook in a pressure cooker till first whistle.
  • When cooked, blend in a liquidiser and strain.
  • Heat the milk and add to the soup. Mix well.
  • Add salt and pepper and boil for 1 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
